  • ADHD/ADD Evaluations

Our pediatrician will do the initial evaluation if you, or your child's teacher, think your child is having problems with focusing and attention. To expidite the evaluation, please complete the Vanderbilt ADHD forms. There are forms for parents and teachers. Each parent needs to complete a separate form.

We also continue to treat your child after the initial diagnosis has been made. It is important to have regular office or telehealth visits to stay up to date on your child's ADHD treatment.

Treatment for ADHD sometimes includes the use of medication called stimulants. Examples are Ritalin and Adderall. These medications are considered controlled substances,  which means they are highly monitored. We follow the state and federal recommendations for appointments and prescriptions.

  • Behavioral Health

A child’s mental and emotional well-being is just as important as their physical health.

At EverKind Pediatrics, we believe behavioral health is an essential part of pediatric primary care, not something separate from it.

Whether your child is struggling with attention, anxiety, emotions, behavior, friendships, school, or simply doesn’t seem like themselves, we’re here to help.

Conditions We Commonly Evaluate and Manage

    ADHD

We offer comprehensive ADHD evaluations, medication management when appropriate, school collaboration, and ongoing support to help children succeed at home, in school, and in everyday life.

    Anxiety Disorders

Anxiety can affect children in many ways, from excessive worries and school avoidance to physical symptoms such as stomachaches and headaches. We work with families to identify anxiety early and develop effective treatment plans.

    Depression and Mood Concerns

Changes in mood, loss of interest, withdrawal from friends or activities, irritability, or persistent sadness deserve attention. We provide thoughtful evaluation, ongoing monitoring, and treatment when appropriate.

    Neurodivergent Children

Every neurodivergent child deserves care that recognizes their strengths as well as their challenges. We enjoy partnering with families of children with autism, ADHD, learning differences, sensory differences, and other developmental conditions to provide individualized medical care that supports each child’s unique needs.

    School and Learning Concerns

When children struggle in school, there is often more than one contributing factor.

We work with families to evaluate possible medical, developmental, behavioral, or emotional influences and collaborate with schools when appropriate.

  • Chadis

CHADIS is an interactive online screening tool designed to provide your children with the best care possible.  CHADIS does this by assisting in the early diagnosis of developmental, social, emotional, and behavioral concerns as well as a variety of health risks that can be difficult to see during a typical visit. All responses are completely confidential and cannot be viewed by anyone except your doctor.

CHADIS will save you time during the office visit. You can tell us about any problems or concerns you want to discuss, provide us with your child’s medical history and background, and report on the progress of your child’s development.

In order for us to provide you and your child with the best care possible, we need you to use CHADIS before each visit. We will review the results of the questionnaires during your visit and discuss any concerns you may have.

  • Chronic Care Management

If your child has a disability or a chronic illness, your journey may feel like the road less traveled. You probably have interactions with many different professionals and specialists. • Sports Physicals

Regular physicals are an important part of preventative pediatric care. Getting your child an sports physical gives the doctor the opportunity to examine your child, evaluate their health and fitness, and determine whether or not they are prepared for sports or school activities. Please note that your child's yearly physical includes the sports examination. Your child does not need a separate sports physical provided we have seen your child for a well child exam within the past year.
